Welcome to Rabassaires — where urban wines come to life.
-
For many years, the Rabassaires were the winegrowers who cultivated the land under a contract known as rabassa morta. This agreement allowed farmers to work the owner’s land on the condition that they planted vineyards and cared for them until two-thirds of the vines had died.
-
Our project has absorbed this legacy, and it is reflected in everything we do. From the way we tend our vines to our artisanal winemaking techniques, every step we take is connected to our roots.
Medir, a fresh and elegant white, is like that wise friend who always sees life clearly, deep and straight, like the valleys where it grows. An homage to purity: a Mediterranean-style wine that breathes freshness.
Cugat, a robust red wine, full of character, the fellow companion in the bar chats, passionate, with the strength and the soul that emerge from the land where it was born.
An expression of the earth and its authenticity, with no additives or manipulation.
A white wine with intense aromas of white and yellow fruit, delicate herbs, dried flowers, and subtle citrus notes. A breath of sea breeze carried from the Maresme.
On the palate, it is warm, dry, and well-balanced, with bright acidity and a spicy finish that leaves a sense of depth, structure, and vibrant life.
It is an intense wine, with aromas of fermntation, orange peel, floral herbs, and citrus in syrup. A walk through a Mediterranean orchard at sunset. On the palate, it is lively and fresh, with a perfect balance, leaving a persistent finish, like a kiss that leaves its mark.
It features aromas of red fruit, lactic notes, herbs, and a hint of spice, with a toasted background that gains strength over time. It’s like a street gradually clearing, revealing layers of more intense flavor as it progresses—fresh, direct, and full of character.
This vermouth is a gentle, sweet breath with a memory of roots — an embrace of wild herbs gathered slowly. With every drop, the mountain reveals itself: its sunsets and flowers opening without haste. It carries the scent of the forest, a bittersweet caress that awakens the senses and lingers in conversation with the palate.
At Rabassaires we cultivate our vines manually and organically, following the natural rhythms of the land. We reject insecticides and pesticides, choosing sustainable practices that respect the soil and preserve the life within it. In the cellar, every wine is made by hand, with meticulous care at each stage. We seek to preserve the fruit’s original essence, letting the grape speak for itself. Every bottle is the result of an honest process that combines tradition, respect and passion.
BIODIVERSITY
Our urban vineyards are living spaces that coexist with the city. They not only respect biodiversity but enhance it, offering a green refuge within the urban environment. We believe peri-urban agriculture can be a source of health and wellbeing for both people and the ecosystem. Our wines reflect this purity, free from artifices—an honest expression of the landscape where they were born.
COMMITMENT
Our project is nourished by collaboration with local farmers, businesses and artisans. We support the local economy and the human connections that strengthen our region. Every decision, from vineyard to table, is made with the responsibility of contributing to a more sustainable, fair and resilient community. Rabassaires is more than a winery: it is a network of people who believe in a new way of inhabiting and cultivating the city.
